Shit I would but I'm pretty sure this beach meet will be my last for this year unless I hit up Alto with Rob and his buddies in Oct, I'm pretty sure that won't happen either cause all my kids bdays are comming up after the holidays and I needs to save for that and Big Bend trip.

I also need to talk to the boss.... I recall I "promised" her a trip somewhere in October. Now to recall when... :) Hopefully its not that weekend, I've never wheeled Barnwell.

I think the "boss" wanted to take a trip to scenic downtown Gilmer.

Do I need to come down there and finish it for you? You just got new springs and a crossover conversion right

It will be done. The most difficult thing to do now is swapping over the knuckles, spindles, rotors and calipers to the other axle housing.

The last thing I need to do is get the suspension cycled out so I can get the correct shocks ordered (probably going Fox or Bilstein) If we can get that done this week, Ill order the shocks and game over other than getting my IROCs mounted

I need to get my front driveshaft modified as well, but that can wait till after the run

Other housing? You mean you didn't just put the highsteer/longs/IFS hubs/IFS brakes all on the same housing? Guess that shouldn't take long a weekend tops but still why have a whole separate housing? Oh did you pick up one of those HP thirds that was floating around scotia had a few then snorkie had them and last I heard john (eldiablo) had one of them.
Get the billys, I've had bad customer service with fox great shock very poor customer service(long story with the chevy swap), fortunately Sunny at down south motorsports made up for foxes lack of support but none the less I still won't support their product anymore. And onto the last topic, are you gonna build a square front shaft or get your OE shaft lengthened? been a battle in my mind as whether to build my own from some square stock or have the existing one lengthened when I do my swap.

I got the housing from snorkie so I could start armoring it up off the truck. He will be getting the one off my truck. yea no biggie trading parts just time consuming.
I got a HP 3rd and a brand new Detroit in a pretty good deal. I will probably go with the Billies mainly because they are affordable and are a great product and TG has them for 75 for the 12" 5100 and 99 for the 14" 5150's. I will be lengthening my front and using a Tacoma Rear double cardan in the mix as well. ITs probaly going to run me about 400 but will be just about bombproof.

Oh I didn't know the older tacomas had a CV shaft, mine only has single cardans front and rear. Those HPs were a screaming deal I was wondering who would end up with them. Since you're not going to be daily driving it I would look for some 14" short body shocks for the front and rear, you're capable of pulling the travel with your spring setup you just need to make sure you've got enough slip in your driveline, rear should be fine just need to make sure the front is good to go. All in all I like your setup I'm going to have something similar I've got some marlins on order front and rear rated for the V6 weight 275 I'd like to see how well they work on something else before I use them.
