Made a short 30 minute drive to Downsouth Offroad Park in Crosby TX this weekend. http://www.downsouthoffroad.com/
Due to the dry weather we've had and even with a little rain last week, the park was not a mud pit. It offers unrated trails that are 2wd friendly and rather narrow at points. as well as several pits you can drive into that offer steep sandy hill climbs out. These climbs range from "2wd easy" to "you'd fuck up your stock bumpers hard".
The price of $20 is rather steep compared to what the park offers fro trucks, but it's placed close to Houston where there is otherwise no place to legally take your truck offroad. Taking the main road of the park all the back leads to the river and a large sand pit.
