This is the best price I have seen these listed at. When I bought mine from Tandem I got them for $200 in person. Once you figure in shipping these are stupid cheap.

Probably your garage. Make sure to mold in the reinforcing designs, tred on the recovery side, and recovery holes to pull them back out once you are done with them.

But really they are quicker and lighter than a winch, can be moved from vehicle to vehicle as needed easily, and do not require additional wiring/ mods to the vehicle to use. They are not the "end all recovery mod" but they are a hell of a good one. Self recovery is always a good thing. Once my full length rack is here I plan to have my Treds on my rig all the time.

IIRC Overland Journal did a comparison of a bunch of them. I have the magazine around here somewhere. I want to say these did really well but in the end I think they still swung from MaxTrax nutsack.

Edit: Yep, it was the Gear Guide 2018 issue. MaxTrax got the editors choice.

I didn't order either, budget was blown this month and some for next month with 12k credit card bill from regular expenses & vacations, then a check for lazy boy furniture, plus 6 month auto policy and the yearly house insurance. Next week/pay check should be like 30% more for the rest of the year(probably not, just more paid taxes), 14% increase from promotion and I had to reduce 15% towards TSP/401k because I was going to hit max IRS contribution limit too early. I need a gofundme account for my heroin addiction.
