05+ Tacoma Pre-runner bumper

Hey guys I am building a new bumper for the Tacoma over the next few weeks and my old one needs to go. Its tabbed for 3 lights and all hardware is Grade 8. My truck is all torn apart so it is ready to go now.

The bumper is all bolt on to your stock bumper brackets. The bumper matches trucks with stock fenders. My fiberglass fenders make the bumper look off.

Whats behind the skid? Any kind of brace work or is it just a plate

There is square tubing that brace it all up at the bottom and the round tubing on top.

I don't think that will fit on the cream puff & if I am going to LT something it's not going to be my taco.

Damn I like that...Would it look silly on a none LT taco??

it wouldnt look silly on a non LT truck, a lot of ppl on TW have tube style bumpers on their stock track truck, but u should at least have bigger tires. Also, you might want to think about cutting slights on the skid to allow some air to pass thru to the radiator...any kind of slit can do, like a personal design

I did catch a lot of flak for it because its not as nice as a $1500 DMZ bumper but it does the job.

I agree that the slits would help with airflow but...............Living in Las Vegas for 3 years with this bumper on truck and never overheating even when smashing it all day the temp never went up at all. I have the auto and towing package and never had any issues.

Many many people said my truck would fry like this but it just wasnt the case. We cut holes on our shop race truck and then welded mesh behind the holes to protect against rocks and debris.

Damn I don't know if I could put bigger tires on my Taco...I have 265 75 16 MT's If I put bigger tires my 4cyl will never love me again...LOL

And I ain't gonna put gears on it.
