That front is coming this way. Supposed to bring mid 20s to us tomorrow. Too bad it's not a repeat of 3 years ago when we had 6+ inches of ice plus a few inches of snow that hung around for a week.

That day was the best! My friends and I took the time off from school to pile my truck full of ladders and saws and go door to door cleaning up fallen trees out of people's yards. We each made a pretty decent amount of money for going out and having fun driving around on the snow/ice and playing with chainsaws

C* or F*? Never know with you loonies. Coldest weather Ive experienced in the lower 50 was -19f in Vermont many moons ago. So cold my vent visor broke when my buddy touched it. Still got a full days skiing in.
Coldest weather Ive experienced in your country was -2f up in Banff. Had a Mitubishi Montero rental and that thing did not want to crank over in the am cold.

I spent a year in Galena Alaska... about 90 miles from the Artic circle. It was cold, never got above -40 for over 40 days. Good times.
Banff....I'm just east of Banff like an hour or so.
F..... F for fucking cold...
Currently it's -22F and the windchill has us at -38 (conversion difference here no longer really matters -40F is -40C is Fucking Cold)

You're in some beautiful country. Think I was up there in 07. Got a few nice pics of the Banff ice castle when I was there. Would of seen the Northern Lights, but the guys I was with didn't want to drive 2hrs north where our bartender had invited us to go. One of my biggest regrets to this date while on vacation was not parting ways with my friends and going anyway. I will never make that mistake again.

It was especially fun when it was 60+ below and we would crank up an F-15 in a combat alert cell (CAC) and it would act like a wind tunnel. Winds probably around 20MPH blowing through the CAC! Jeezus that was COLD!! Windchill off the chart. We had the, for lack of better term, OSHA rep from the AF come in and measure the wind and calculate windchill. It was somewhere around -100 IIRC.

I'm not going to lie....some of the most beautiful views in the world are a quick drive from my door. Sometimes I take it for granted.

A friend of mine invited me to take the place of his soon-to-be x on a golf holiday in Ireland. I'm not much interested in golf so when he left for golf, I would rent a mountain bike and tool around.
Towards the end, I suggested we get a rental car and go out and see the real Ireland. He didn't like the idea of maybe having to share a bathroom with someone. He went home. I had just negotiated a nice Golden Parachute so I circled Ireland going to a different town each day. Met a lot of great people. I would never trade that experience for anything.

I had to google Golden Parachute. I was thinking it was something dirty. I was disappointed.
