I don't see anything wrong with those rims... however for the $$.. I would think about spending a little more and getting Walker Evans.. just because i think those are some awesome rims. But I haven't really heard anything bad about the TG beadlocks. Of course, giving a $320 rim rock rash would be easier to swallow than a $400 rim. :)

As for tires.. man you need to get some sticky Crawlers, IROK's/SX's/TSL's... or Creepy Crawlers. KM2's are a great off-road tire but they can't compare to a dedicated off-road tire, even in a 37.

I do love the Walkers but I know my off roading - I will leave those for the v8 prerunner!!! :D At 272 each, I think they're a bargain. Also working on that sponsorship!!! ;)

Oh yeah, great tire!

How do you think they compare to the IROK stuff? - My current thoughts are I want to drive this thing to trails too! :D

Well IROKs and Red Lables are both very soft. Neither one will last long on the streets, but IROKs will last a little longer.

There was some guy selling used Red Label Crawlers, but they were 35s only

I thought the smallest red labels was a 37.

I like your choice of the TG beadlocks and Krawlers. I think the Krawler would be the better wearing tire over the IROCS

Ya think? Both are pretty soft. My IROK's felt like goo... in a good way. But Red labels are a comp level tire and I'm sure they are softer. Of course a standard blue label Crawler might wear better, but whats the fun in that? :)

You know Paul, the solution is simple. Trailer it to the fun stuff. Save those 400-600 tires for the rocks and dirt. :D

So, I've spent two days thinking and cleaning parts (little family disaster).

Is this what Jay Leno does for sanity? Man I would like his shop! But in the meantime, I am very fortunate to have the use of a shop in Chinatown (about 45 minutes away from Morning Glory.

I am glad I scarfed up the spares in the seller's back yard - one more item that would have caused a hickup... the 80 hubs won't work with the LC discs but fortunately I had some later model ones as spares! :D

Working on laying out the 63s with double shackles to give me more droop... Not good for boobs but I think they will serve me well on the Pig!

Well it looks like at least 3 more weeks and we're thinking of Calico. But in the meantime check out Miller Jeep trail and see if it's open. It's about half way for both of us and it is a very fun trail. Only problem is it may be covered in snow! :(
