I guess it didn't happen. Didn't bring a camera and had to preserve my phone to get to where I needed to get to. Didn't get home until 3 am.
I want to say mine was ~$2,500-3K for a new front bumper.
I like it; even better that it weighs only 62 lbs!

You are making a battery. Isolate? or Sacraficial cathathode? I don't think it's necessary. The stock bumper is Al.

Good dose of anti-seize between the surfaces if you are worried. Most likely not needed.

I put a very thin layer of hard plastic gasket that doesn't compress in between all my mounting points of my bumpers/resi mounts/etc. to prevent rust a few years ago when I redid my frame. We had a bunch of gasket left over here at work that we use to structurally adhere aluminum to glass via compression fittings for our glass entrances.
Regardless of the materials chosen, in those locations vibrations/flex mixed with metal to metal contact will eventually become a spot corrosion will start.

If I could do it all over again, I would've gone with an aluminum front bumper. You barely ever hit your front on any rocks. I'd still do steel for the rear since you're more likely to drag it on rocks.
