how is that?

I carry a map torch on most of my trips (especially if I have smores materials). All you would need to do is keep solder in your tool bag. :D I've seen brass ones crack where you could patch it... that's all.

I figured it was something along those lines. You definitely can't solder Aluminum

No and although you can epoxy the tanks (sometimes with luck) but most of the time you're hosed.

I just pulled the old exhaust crossover. I should probably get some new gaskets before I install the new one huh?

Yeah. Those will be a bitch to change later if they leak. The risk is not worth saving a couple bucks on gaskets.

Cool, I called O'Reilly to see if they had the right size, but they put me on hold. So, while I was waiting, I went to RockAuto.com and was finished ordering before they picked the phone back up. Good thing I'm not in a big hurry to get the motor back in... yet

Look forward to seeing this come together, I just sent a friend of mine a link to your thread he was asking about the same swap yesterday for his 95 4runner.

I'll PM you, and anyone who would like to know

I'd like to know, I did a lot of research before I changed mine out and those were never even mentioned? Plus they all look like single electrode and the 3.4 uses dual electrode plugs.

Just made a call and learned some more about spark plugs. Even the double electrode plugs only ever spark on one side; whichever side has the least corrosion/ wear and therefor the least electrical resistance. It just makes for a more reliable spark. THESE single electrodes should be plenty reliable
