Started my cargo drawer system build this weekend. I thought I had all the material but I was wrong. I will be able to do a good bit of the work on it this week but will have to wait till next weekend to get the front long compartment boxed in.

Hoping to keep the weight lower than the 3/4" plywood boxes.

End goal is to have a split deck so the passenger side can be removed for my fridge to ride lower and on rails. The front part of the whole thing will be a single storage area from side-to-side for storage of longer items (CV axle when on trips) and longer tools. I also plan to have a power port inside the front compartment for charging electronics as needed/ when stored.

Are you going to build your own slides? Use roller skate bearings?

You want me to grab you a couple pics of my RKI floor drawers on the welding rig?

Sure. I always like something to refer to and compare to.

I am using these materials because they were on sale at Discount Steel. I originally planned to build it a little different but these materials for pennies on the dollar made me shift gears a little. The overall design is the same; just a little different fab work to get there.
