Yeah I would wait until it's cooler before going. Also, if it's close to a holiday, you'll have to book your spot well in advance (which I'm sure you already know).Thanks, I'm considering doing the same, either in the Angelina NF or the Davy Crockett NF
Seems my radiator is going out. Not keeping the truck as cool as it should be. It was overheating on the way back from the river today.
Anyone have any recommendations for a replacement radiator?
It was a 105° on the way home. I put the windows down and turned the heater on which cooled it off quite a bit. Wife was a trooper and didn't complain at all.Dang it was 104 here today with heat index at 108

I'm going to replace the thermostat, hoses and radiator. I can tell it's time for a new radiator as my old one is kinda warpedI would pressure check the system cold&hot and then probably replace thermostat first
