Hi guys and girls...

My name is Kruso and another member from the Tacoma World referred me to this board for more off road action. I've got a 01 Double Cab that I use to off road several years back with some friends. Had an offroading mishap in Gilmer, did some severe damage to the truck's frame and its been on the back burner since. Recently I had time and changed out the frame on the truck and have been itching to take it back off road. Hope to meet some of you guys soon.

Welcome to the forum, we have a pretty active group for meeting up and going wheeling. BVORR is about 1-1/2 hours from you and they have a meeting and free wheeling twice a month or every other week.

Yes, I've still gotta figure out how to reinforce the ARB bumper mounts on the rails for better reinforcement. I really like the atmosphere you guys have around these boards. I gotta say this is the second best forums I've run into since Supraforums.

I've got pics... quite a few of them actually. I'm thinking about making a thread of my frame swap pics... I've got over a 100 pics of the entire process, done right here in my garage Macgyver style. The little "mishap" at Gilmer was more like a conundrum. They had a dirt made very steep ramp setup in the middle of the park to check truck flex. It was raining, thirty something degrees outside and very dreary.... a buddy of mine hit the ramp first at almost 20mph, the devil in me wanted to out do him so I sped up... by the time I hit the ramp I knew I was going to fast so I slammed on my brakes hitting the ramp skidding, caught air on the other side and landed a good 15 feet away with the frame rails digging into the ground shifting the cab forward a few inches. We ended up parking the truck up the side of a mountain unbolting and re bolting the cab pushing it back with a winch and then limped it back all the way home. It was slipping and sliding everywhere due to the rain all the way back (4 hours). Long story short, the alignment place said they couldn't align her so it sat until I did the frame swap.

That would be a good write up, I'm sure its worth its own thread too.

Truck with the 3" body and 3" suspension lift, I hadn't lifted the bumper in that picture yet.

I still have to organize the frame swap pics, it'll take some time but I'll do a dedicated thread for that.
