My battery appears to be going out. Checked my record and found I put this Diehard Platinum in back in July 2013. It's probably time for a new one.

You got a pretty impressive lifespan out of that battery then. My last battery barely made it 3.5 years before giving up

The CEL has been resolved by changing the air fuel ratio sensor on the driver side. The sensor itself was easy to reach, but the wiring clip was a bit tricky.
Just joking, the CEL was never resolved. It eventually came back on. Finally took it to a shop for diagnosis. Low PSI on the fuel pump.

To further expound. I use the Torque Pro app for reading codes. When my CEL first came on I checked and it showed P0174 as an Active fault and P0171 as a Historic fault. I disregarded the P0171 fault, not knowing why it'd show as Historic. After cleaning my MAF, replacing the bank 2 air fuel ratio sensor and even replacing my gas cap the CEL kept coming back on.

Had a buddy user his code scanner last week and his scanner showed P1071 as a pending fault with P0174 as active. Finally took it into a shop to get diagnosed. The result was that the fuel pump was going bad and couldn't maintain proper PSI. Seems early for a bad fuel pump, but I had them replace it regardless.

How many miles are on it?

How much to change the pump? Did they drop the tank to do it?

That's not too bad. Last time I looked online the pump/sending unit was about $500, but that was 2-3 years ago. I need to start looking into getting it done, my sending unit is not operating 100%. Been times when I went to fill up where it said I had a 1/4 tank but then I put almost 21 gallons in it.

I know @kidcatcher and my tacoma fuel gauges get iffy below a 1/4 tank of full. So I just try to fill up when I hit that point.

I'm about to do my 170k oil change. I have the Ultragauge installed, so I will keep an eye on it for these codes. I hope I don't have to deal with that, but glad to know the (potential) fix if I do see it.

I just dropped a link to the extended range fuel tank for the Tacoma in the Items that need to be reviewed by you thread. If you're going to be dropping the fuel tank anyway, might as well increase capacity!

Did you use OEM or the Energy Suspension ones?

Next up is fixing my AC... again. End of last summer I noticed the blower would stop working on settings 1 and 2 intermittently, switching up to 3 or 4 and back down again would switch it back on. I replaced the resistor (part from Rock Auto) and blower (TYC brand) and it seemed to fix it but Summer was quickly over. I did end up putting the old blower back in though, that TYC one was noisy. Didn't have issues with the blower until last week. Now my blower won't switch on except for on setting 4. Got a new resistor and blower ordered up from Toyota. Hoping it arrives well before heading up to Jambo in a couple weeks.
