Finally mounted my awning and also added a Planto 42" box up top.

Nice, did you get that plano case from Academy? Looks like a stove could fit in there.

Justin Timberlake knows what's in there.

I ordered it from Amazon. Nothing in the box currently. For camping trips, it should fit most of my misc crap. I haven't tested it for load out. Additionally, I could store my tool roll and other misc recovery gear up there. Time will tell for what I use it for.

Man, looking at my trip list I haven't done any trips with the truck since February. I may go to the Fall Run at BMRA in October. Right now my next confirmed outing is Big Bend Ranch SP in March. The wife and I are going kid free.

The next purchase I intend on making is a trailer. I've decided on buying a Morris Mule at some point before January. That opens up new possibilities. I may upgrade the RTT to a 4 person so I can fit 3 people comfortably. I can barely fit me and the 2 kids in my current RTT.

Expect 10mpg or less with a trailer, especially in hill country or out west.

Quality tents and sleeping pads/cots has worked well on that 11 day trip last year for the 4 of us and a whole lot cheaper.

With the boys in Scouts, we have used our Camplite trailer and other trailer much less than normal, only once during this past Spring break down in the valley.

Doing maintenance, I learned I need to replace my valve cover gaskets next. I'm also pretty sure I popped a tendon in my hand attempting to put my upper radiator hose back on. I heard and felt the pop and lost all grip strength in my right hand.

Damn man, yeah I'd say you need to replace some gaskets. That being said I do to as well... although not nearly that bad.

Somebody want to come over and finish the hose. Just need one clamp! .... I've got my dad coming over tomorrow.

Hope your hand/wrist feels better, keep ice on that joker for a good day/two.

How many miles on the plugs and motor?
The thread on those plugs seemed pretty gummed up as well, where they difficult to remove? I change my plugs every 30k and the last time at 100K they seemed to look similar to those.

Maybe the sandwich maker could bring home an ultrasound machine to use on you and relieve and treat that tendon, hopefully it didn't tear anything.

Plugs had 30k , engine is as 119k. They came out easy.

I'll be making a doc appt to check it out. MRI for tendons is what Tracey says.

I was using vice grips on those hose clamps and the last one was awkward to get to.
