I've read it does ok, not 100%.
I would imagine it's difficult to keep all of the elements out with that large of an opening.
I have a trailer build in the shop, so I'm looking for ideas on how to seal her up properly.

Picked up a Morris Mule today.

It's a simple trailer so it'll likely stay simple. For now it's getting matching 1st gen Tacoma wheels, new tires, a lock n roll hitch and my RTT on the rack. Mid term I might get an awning. Longer term, I'm thinking a battery, fridge, solar, maybe a water tank.Really like their sizes and setups. What other plans do you have for it?

Speaking of battery. I've had my Diehard Platinum in the truck for almost 6 years. It's still going. I understand they don't sell them anymore.
Yeah Platinums are no longer sold.. but Batteries Plus sells the X2 power which is the same thing.

I'll let you know when I take them off.Depending on wheel/tire size, I might be interested in them.
This is off-topic of the trailer, but why do you use 3 different fluids in the x-fer case, front and rear diffs? I've been replacing all mine with Lucas 80w-90 every 30k since 30k and currently at 137k. I've always been happy with it and like not having multiple types of fluid.

Yea, I change every 30k miles. I think 60k is the recommendation in the manual.I used to follow the recommendations until I burn up my fluids in my rear. Then I changed to 15k intervals (mechanical LSD in a 8.4). Never changed to Synthetic because of my 15k change intervals and LSD's not liking it at all.

Well then I must be doing it every 15k then. Makes sense, I just did it in October.I think the recommended is 30k, as that is what I have been following. I didn't think about the e-locker vs non-e-locker diff. I guess that makes sense. I'll keep doing what I'm going for now.
