We will be camping in some snow and lows in the twenties (teens when we camp at elevation) for a week. Suck it up and stay warm.

Megan is ready to go - all the food is prepared for each day in individual bags, she picked up some thermals, and is looking forward to it. I bought a Mr Heater at Academy to help knock the edge off the inside of the tent and some heavy tarp wind walls to go around the outside of the upright poles so as to give a wind barrier. Should be set to go now.


Now I am looking forward to see Big Bend in the snow.

Weather looks like it is in our favor, 4Runner is loaded up, and now just need to get some sleep before we roll out. Gas - yeah, taking 25 gallons of gas because there was extra room on the cargo rack. lol

You cant take enough extra gas to BBRSP.. you will be plenty happy with 25 gallons. Wish I had that much when I went. Would have allowed for much more exploration.
