I doubt that will be the case at BBSP

Yeah, spots out there are 15 minutes apart by vehicle. But normally you can hear your neighbor fart.

That's why I try to go to less popular parks and go at times when others won't be there.

Let me know when those times are. LOL

yeah, during the week is always good. Getting the wife to take off work during the week is next to impossible. :(

I'd still rather have a portable shelter to provide some privacy... even in a camp with just a few people its nice to shat in private.

That's why I love Verizon. Out here and AZ I get serviced - ooops! I meant service in some of the strangest places!!! I am convinced that it has to do with Verizon infrastructure was the original 'Ma Bell' and the must have ant. locations on power lines or some some!

That is one of the nice things in my biz - midweek blow offs are easy to come by and a good friend of mine will share covering for each other. The only real problem is finding people that can do the same!

The Road Home for Bighorn Sheep

Video of bighorn sheep being released in Big Bend Ranch State ParkDecades after desert bighorn sheep disappeared from Big Bend Ranch State Park, they’re back! There are more now than there were 100 years ago, fulfilling one goal of the Texas Parks and Wildlife strategic management plan for the park.

In late December, forty-six rams and ewes bolted from their trailers (caught on video) oblivious to the complex planning and coordination described in this press release among agencies, biologists, environmentalists, volunteers, and just plain fans of these magnificent animals who made the homecoming possible.

The decades-long success story has been underway since the 1950s and ‘60s when bighorn sheep were reintroduced in West Texas in a process that, although difficult and dangerous, has ultimately led to successful bighorn management. This video describes the early history.

See what life is like for Texas Parks and Wildlife biologist Scott Lerich from Elephant Mountain Wildlife Management Area who describes living in the beauty of the west Texas desert habitat and working with the magnificent bighorn sheep.
