I really want to go. But dont know if I will if it turns into a wheeling trip. I dont want to spend all my time being winched from place to place. I like Seans idea of trail riding drinking and bsing for a long weekend. Side wheeling trips would be fine.

I'm confused on what month this is happening and I'm too lazy to read through 5 pages so someone just tell me...it it gonna be in March? (saw April 1-4) as a choice so I assume the others are weekends in March?

Just got back from Big Bend. Stayed in Ft Davis and hiked Santa Elena, and some other trails, and canyons. Walked the Rio Grande, went to Lanitas, Terlingua, Presidio, Marfa, went to the Mcdonald observatory to see the stars, Alpine, had a great time. Went for 5 days.

Went to Acadamy and Gender Mtn. today to start getting a list of stuff for this trip I need and dont have. Need to pick up sleeping bags for the kids, one more 2-man tent with sleeping mats. I also need to pick up a good camp stove and cooking/eating things. Thinking about getting one of those jerry can water jugs from Sierra and 4 of those flat 5gal gas cans. This is all I've got so far...lol

Buying camping gear is just like modding your truck. There are tons of really cool gizmos to buy, but only a few very important items that you need: Rain Gear, Tent, Sleeping Gear (In that order).

I have to factor in Kids too, so that changes up my list. If it was just me I would just crash in the back seat a live on POP tarts and water the whole time...lol

I can loan you most of that stuff, I have a good stove, a couple good sleeping bags, extra lantern, and even a tent if you want it. One 5 gallon jerry can, every cooking / eating thing you could need. Would be glad to let you use them since I cannot.
