A stock anything would do ok out there. Especially with that locker! The clearance would be a problem on some of the trails, but no problem, there is planty to do out there.
Like I said. Let me work on a few things, and get caught up on a few more, and we can check it out. I would like to see the FJ in action.

Okay guys that don't have the stuff are just haters! 
Really though - I didn't really understand it all for about 6 months after getting in some jams. Including blowing a rear I really didn't need to. Find someone in your area that you can wheel with in some stuff that will allow you to see it in action. Have them on the radio (you do need some sort of radio if you don't already). Then go out and wheel with the intent of discovering what it means to turn off DCS how and when; ATRAC why where and when, etc. You will be glad you did and you may never need a front locker. Also learn what, when and where to use Down Hill Assist and any other button you have on there. They are no where near as useless as many of the haters will have you believe.

Oh yeah, I have the ancient 1st gen.
It's all mufty-fluffty stuff. Kinda like seatbelts and hockey helmets.... only pussy's use the stuff but if ya have 'em, wear 'em!

So when I go wheeling with you guys, I'll know that I am starting on a different level. Maybe my truck was the last superior year. After that they had to start adding all the doodads on to make the truck capable again.
