that looks great, it doesn't stick out way too far either. I just was on google and found the relentless diy kit for $240.00, all i'd have to weld the legs and gussets on!

anyone have any opinions about that kit

Looks like a decent kit. Maybe some of the other guys will have more insight to Relentless Fab.

Relentless makes good stuff from what I have read from people on other forums.

hey guys i sold my cap today, going to pick up a 3" lift for my rig :) I wanted to get ome but i don't want to trim my shock mounts on the axle housing.

I think I'm going to go with 5100 around 885 coils and a1.5-2" aal and some spacers to drop the carrier bearing a hair. What do you guys think about my piece together kit? Any opinions or other recomendations are appreciated. truck has the tsb rear leafs, mind you I'm not trying to break the bank.

I've done the 5100s with 885, as well as 885s on the OME struts. The OME ride was better

x2 on the OME struts and coils. I had 885's and then 886's. Great ride quality.

Trim your shock mounts? First I've heard of that. OME rides great for the price

Can't tell if being cereal or not?

Thought he had ripped off some people and I know he gave people bogus lead times? I know he lied to me about my stuff, but that was many many moons ago. My sliders and bumper is/was OK quality and seemed to be on par with whats offered these days. Design was much better than most professional fab shop's offerings. No idea whats up now - this is the only forum I'm on anymore and I barley log on here.

I know the lead times were messed up at one point but I never read about him ripping people off? He has gotten a bigger shop and some more welders now IIRC

thanks for the advice guys. apparently the 15 tacomas shock mount is slightly different then the other year 2nd gens. its just a matter of trimming a couple hairs off. here's a thread regarding what i'm talking about
https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2015-tacoma-rear-shock-mounts-changed-ome-not-an-option.376311/
in reality the trimming really doesn't bother me. With that said, I hate to admit it, but its just not responsibly in my budget, right now. My next set of shocks will be the OME set.

For now I am excited about what I ordered and cant wait for the stuff to get here (rear shocks are on back order). I'm also picking up a nice "only used once" skid plate this weekend!
the whole reason I got the Tacoma was for my daily driver as I have another money pit sitting in my garage... this is how it starts ...

haha, that's deff out of budget, maybe later down the road. Aren't the dakars HD weight carrying leaf pack. I'm a mechanic the most I haul around is engine, trans, engine hoist and tools from time to time,(not all together). i've been able to drag that crap around just fine even with my regular cab non tsb springs, and I only really need my truck for that like 1 every other month.
If I had an expedition rig or just loaded all the time as a work truck id deff spring for them.

hoping my stuff gets here by Friday!

Nice man! The problem with the stock springs is that they sag really bad over time. They are worthless. When I installed my dakar leafs, it was a night and day difference. Also, since you're new to Tacoma's, stay away from anything that is All-Pro. Their quality is shit and a lot of new guys get sucked into buying their products. We don't call it All-Poo for nothing lol

X47000 No All Poo. Please. Its def looks over function.

But when the stock leafs take a shit look into the Dakars, The extra leaf is optional. I have both and after 7 years my leafs have not sagged one bit.

I'll look into it. I think the stock pack will last me a little bit, truck has less then 4000 miles on it
