Thanks kidcatcher if you hadn't brought up the heat issues I never would have considered a mechanics lightbar.

Definitely that's why I started a build thread. In my opinion there is more to building then just bolting on thr parts. You guys have given me some things to think about before I just jump right in.

Also about this site, we all have known each other for a long while now and have very thick skin. Joke and are inappropriate a lot. It's fun though lol. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Check out some of the builds on here, lots of cool rigs and ideas.

Ya I was checking out Drew's build and I like how he has his set up. I probably will be similar in some aspects but I intend on mine being all me.

"Good artists copy, great artists steal". Nothing wrong with using someone else's idea.

Just try to do your build a little faster than Drew's build.

Lol. I will try the biggest hurdle in any build is funding.

Correction.... motivation. I've had parts sitting in boxes while I could not find the "energy" or "time" to go put them on before. I always seem to find the money when it is really really needed.

For me it's funding. I will make the time and I always have the motivation to do it.

Well I looked for a front bumper, couldn't find one I liked. Bandit Runner over at Yotatech.com makes custom bumper plans. I have talked to him a bit about my front and rear bumper plans. So I will probably be building my own.

Frack me..
Can you weld? Dirtco on t4r has a really clean build. If I had it to do over again, I would go that route..

Cross member up front, weld it in place, and then attach a winch plate.. simple

Yah I can weld. I used to build draglines for the coal mine by my parent's place.

Check out Dirtco's build on T4R or eric's on Pirate.. look at the way they did their front bumper. The first step seemed fairly easy.. then they just added a little as they go. I think Dirtco's is a little prettier.. it will take labor, but no where as much money as buying an ARB or something similar.
