One of my favorite for our trucks - I don't have one of these but they are great rugged radios with a forward facing speaker.$140

In the Morning Glory area that we were in this weekend, it quite literally could save ones life.Doesn't sound lucky to me. I generally don't want to talk to the people that are sitting in the vehicle with me. Much less people 40 miles away. Maybe I'm just not a people person though![]()
I use a remote mounted face. My radio can be mounted anywhere. The face plate is mounted just below the heater controls.I am still looking for a second spot to mount a radio or maybe just stick to a decent set of handheld radios. Currently working with my father-in-law on some handheld radios to use in our subdivision for bad weather since the county emergency services tend to forget we are out here in bad weather.
I'll post some links to some bitchin handhelds when I get on my pc. But for those that have not used a ham. Shut your ignorant pie hole. You are just making yourself look like a mouth breathing retard. There is NO comparison to a CB. Unless you want to talk to truckers and set up a glory hole at exit <insert your moms exit here>.
