So far so good. Streaming the world series right now and it's just like watching it with DirecTV

Going through the Roku channel and there are a ton of free movies available. Not A list but some decent stuff that would keep me busy.

Movies are generally background noise anyways. Just turn on some Top Gear and let it go.

So we updated our cell phone plan today with ATT. We get $25 off our DirecTV bill now. Its still not cheap but DirecTV Now is an option and the $25 would apply to that as well. Cheapest package is $35 so after our discount it would be $10 a month for DirecTV Now.

@tx_shooter, make a decision on your cord cuttings?

Yes - I have been moderately happy with the Amazon Fire Stick with Prime TV and Sling. I do plan to upgrade to the Fire TV box if they put them on sale. I keep going back and forth about another on demand video provider and I never care to pay more than $30 a month that I am now.

So overall I am happy. My sammich maker is happy. My wallet is happy.

Good deal.

I know I am an outsider but we would all have much fater wallets if we just threw the TVs out of the house. :)

Anyone else have issues with their Fire TV or Fire Stick randomly dropping audio? The one in my living room is trouble free. The one in the bedroom (newer) will sometimes have no audio when I switch from one streaming all to another. There's no pattern I've noticed so I don't think it's a particular app and it doesn't do it all the time. Restarting the device fixes it.
