So we're off on our first trip and evaluation of the
DOMETIC CFX 65DZ

We brought some mochi and didn't have much luck. The fridge is set to the lowest (something like -9° F. The current reading is 48° F.

I first thought it might be something with the 2nd battery but even running directly from the factory outlet or direct leads to either battery, mid 40s. All good. What good would a homeless tour be if you actually had a working fridge.

It looks nice.

Oh man! That sucks. Sorry to hear. 48 degrees is what the Europeans serve beer at... so there is that.

That is surprising that it will not get lower. I run mine at 33-35 degrees all the time without an issue. Maybe support will resolve it/ get you a new fridge.

Mines currently at 35 according to the display. Don't know what it's actually at but the beer was cold.

When I first got mine I tested it with two freezer thermometers. I set the fridge at 35*F and the bottom of the fridge is at 32-33. The top is 34-35*. That is plenty cold for what we keep in the fridge.

@TacoXpo is the fridge running 24/7 or can you feel a draft around the lid seal?

Mine at 27 degrees has ice in the bottom (condensation). Will freeze a soda/gator-aide/water if I leave them down low. I actually "defrosted" it last night. Emptied it out and unplugged with the lid off. Dried out a cup of water or more this morning.

The trip to Shafer's Bend we took I had it set to 31* on the way down there. My orange juice was kind of slushy so I bumped it back up to 35.

Dat broke.

Fridges to HVACs, anything with a compressor....unplug it let it sit and get it to ambient temperature for an hour or two and turn on, or plug back in.

I think it was a battery issue. I was thinking about gettign a new Group 24 (since it fits nicely in the cubby in the back seat) but I am thinking I want something bigger or maybe two but that would mean I would need to delete the sub. Right now it's plugged in to 110 and it is sitting at 9*.

That sounds more like it. My fridge has been running since yesterday morning at 35* off 110 without an issue.

I know the temp is a generality but I took a reading of the walls of the freezer section and it read -12F. Granted, that is plugged into the wall. This weekend we should get to see how it performs operating off of my main batt.

Take a reading at the floor and one at the top. I had 3 degrees difference.
