Screw the eye to pin adapters, there is nothing wrong with the shock option you have Drew, that is what Nate recommends with the kit in the first place. I have put some thought into relocating the upper mounts, it can be done and wouldn't be terribly difficult, but I also decided it wasn't worth messing with.

When they told me it would take a week or so to get these shocks because their distributers are out, I seriously considered cutting a big slot in the upper mounts and welding in some shock tabs so I could fit the 7100s.

Nice, I am trying to recall how mine where indexed. Seems like there was only one way they could go onto the splines, like one spline was wider then the others.

You can just use the oil pan and pick up tube off of your 3.0. We got everything we needed for Murphys swap off of his old motor. Only draw back is that you wil no longer have a complete 3.0 to sell when you are done.

We used his 3.0 oil pan, pick up tube and dipstick, motor mounts....everything. All of it works just fine.

It might make your 3.0 a little harder to sell, but any capable mechanic replacing there motor should be able to swap those parts out like you said, not having to buy the parts up front is a huge plus for you.

Indead. I knew I could use the oil pan and pickup, but had no idea the dipstick parts were the same.

Cool. I've not messed with T-bars much in my short wrenching career, so input appreciated

Mario has an account here.. I have been busting his balls to get on here and share his build - You and he have a lot of the same... Right now he's toying with making his own adjustable panhard.

Oh and if it means anything, he is a stand up guy and has the lowest flake quotient of any of my wheeling friends!!! He also lives 1.5 hours away which makes it a bitch but we both help each other a couple of times a month.

He's going to tow my new red/orange toy home this w/e.
