I've been thinking about ordering that same one before I put in the new engine.

Yeah but when Drew says "I think I'm going to order" it really means "I'm about to buy this."

And when Blake says it he means "I'm gonna see if my dad will let me get one". lol

Was driving down the highway and suddenly lost even more power than before. Made it into the Taco Cabana parking lot and there's a broken belt and the Fan came off and punctured the radiator somewhere. Sure there's plenty of other stuff going on, but I don't care to figure it out.

Mario had the same happen to him. Then a head gasket! :(

I'd like to convert this slut over to rack and pinion steering and need to figure out one that will fit. Would anyone be able to measure the distance from the center of the tie rod bolts where they go into the spindle on their 2005+ Taco?

Too sloppy?

Why? If it starts getting loose pick up a beefy ass idler arm. Better than that you can setup a hydro assist system on it.

Yeah, the steering on these is a notorious PITA. Idler arm always goes out. I'd rather just replace the inferior system.

Might go that route, but I'd rather have a good dependable steering setup

I'd say they aren't that much better, Jasons already killed his and mine won't likely last much longer

Look at Slees steering setup.. Not cheap but I'm sure trying to put a rack n pinion isn't either. I'd go hi-steer and hydro assist.

The engine will be going in as soon as I can get a clutch kit. Seeing this thing parked in my driveway is depressing

Get a standard clutch? I don't think you'll have issues burning it once you get the doubler together.

Doubler might not happen till next season. I found out that inchworm sells the Marlin kit, so I just need to call and see if they have them in stock or if they drop ship from Marlin. When I called Marlin, they said they would have one in the next couple weeks. Might take that long for me to get the money anyway.

I think inchworm makes the actual adapter and marlin does the internals, don't quote me on that but I think thats the way it was. I know mine is a combination of inchworm and marlin parts.

Sorry, I should have separated my 2 thoughts. Inchworm sells the Marlin Clutch kit too.

Have you installed yours yet?

Nope it sits patiently in the garage, waiting for it to cool off before I do anything else to the truck.
