Hey all, had my off-road park cherry popped toady at HF. I think I’m hooked.

The below was in the middle of the descent on Boss Hog. We met a large group of jeeps just after this turn, right before the last obstacle, and had the jeeps not taken up the entire trail, we might have turned around. No sliders, and not enough armor for the descent and large steps down, but literally less than 3 inches to get around the jeeps, so down we went. Took our time, and no scrapes, or bangs, but the drivers seat may never be the same. Needless to say, sliders and skids moved way up the list of mods.

Congrats on the successful trip and my condolences on catching the off roading bug. Boss Hogg is a tricky trail coming down; but is a nice one. It is funny the Jeeps were clogging up the trail. They tend to do that.

Yeah, I was more willing than my trail partner, but I’m lifted 2.5 inches on 33’s and he was in a stock GX460 with ATs. Although he made it fine, and probably easier than my trail limo. It was quite interesting with the crowd, although I wish someone had gotten pics/vids. Been more of a car camper up to this point, so that is the way the build has gone, but the off-roading bug bit me hard today.

Nice pics! Just wait until you can make it out to Colorado and you'll be bit for life!

I'd recommend sliders first and then skids. Do you have a 6' bed?

Actually been to Colorado a few times already, just not much off-roading (lots of fire road camping). And yes, I have the long bed.

Nice! I too have a trail limo (see my build thread link). I have the CBI's and love em. They have saved my sides from rocks plenty of times. But the main thing they save is my paint job from door dings! I love seeing different paint colors on them after a week of parking in the city lol
