Fitting a 33" Spare Under 2nd Gen 1991 4Runner

Even though I already have a rear spare tire carrier, I like to have 2 spares on long trips, and don't like the idea of taking cargo space with a 33" tire.

Andy hooked me up with the tire carrier from his Tacoma.

First thing that has to go is the exhaust

It doesn't look fancy or anything, but it works and I'm gonna redo the exhaust for the 3.4L swap anyway

The tool doesn't fit well into the stock hole, so I trimmed it

Took off about 3/4"

Trimmed one side of the carrier so it would mount as far back as possible and give easier access to the tool.

More to come. Put paint on all the bear metal; waiting for it to dry.

Hey man, anyone who wants to compliment my rig is welcome to it, lol

I think the post was probably sarcastic, as in "how come there are no pics of a 33" being fitted underneath a 2nd gen" this thread brings the fail rofl
