So you're saying there's a chance!
Dinners at camp can be easy and cheap. Burgers and brats? If we're grilling, my propane grill is small and slow, so cooking lots of food will take a bit.

Burgers can always be done in a skillet too... that might speed up the process if we are both cooking them. Another idea might be for me to make something at home and bring it (chili, pasta, etc. etc.) and then just heat it up at camp...

I considered bringing food as well. I Don't want to pack ice for the first day though. Would be nice to win a fridge at the raffle...

Also Rich, you didn't bring up dinner on Sunday. I figured we would eat in town Sunday in Raton. Id rather not unpack my cooking stuff for one night just to repack early Mon morning.

Yep - I'm good with Raton dinner. Sounds like the All Seasons Family Restaurant & Gift Shop has decent grub

As far as Thursday goes, I'm good with a morning run as long as I'm on the road to Denver by lunchtime. It may make for an earlier departure than expected though...

What kind of sites did you guys reserve at the KOA?

Mine:
"Back-in, Water/Electric, 30/20 amp, WiFi
Our standard water and electric sites are extremely popular due to their location near the beautiful bath house, store/cafe, hot tub & playground. Great for tenters who want water/electric."

If y'all don't have electric, mine will be available to you for recharging & such.

have fun down there guys...my adventure to the san juans won't start until tomorrow..

taking the expo trailer down to engineer pass as an added portion to the trip before hitting the town for the week.

not too excited about a week worth of rain...i just hope the snow line doesn't hit the trails...looking to get a bit chilly at night which could bring some snow at the summits of some peaks

Forgot to mention that I had a Caddyshack "looks great on you though" moment at the Summit.

I was talking to an FJer about his truck, from the side. He was talking about the armor, sliders, LEDs, etc when the topic of LCA skids came up.
I looked him in the face and told him that having LCA skids was like having a gold-plated football bat, fucking expensive uselessness.
Then I noticed he had LCA skids, smiled and said "they look great on yours though"...

He wouldn't acknowledge me for the other day or 2 I was in camp :D
