Forum Changes/ Server Migration

As many of you know, I have been pretty scarce around these parts lately. And as a few of you know, I have been entertaining the idea of selling the forum for about a year now. The biggest reason being that I don't have the same amount of free time I did when we started this thing way back when. My hope has been that the forum's health will benefit from an owner who has time to invest in it.

The reason I haven't sold the forum is that I really didn't like the idea of handing over the keys to an outsider. But, I have been willing to pretty much GIVE it away to an insider with the skills to maintain it. At the end of December Zech and I had a conversation about what it would look like for him to own and manage the forum. After hammering out some details of ongoing support, I am confident that he will be able to maintain the community in it's current state (controlled anarchy), but also know that his availability will afford some growth and new opportunities for members.

Please post up any questions here, or feel free to call/ text if you prefer.

Technical Part: Tonight around 9:00pm I will begin the process of transferring the Database and Files to a new server. There should be no significant interruption of usage. But if there is a short window that the site is down, don't be alarmed.

At this time he is maintaining his other sites; but I will have an option to purchase them later. You will still maintain your Gold Member status - no worries there, buddy.




As for purchasing the site - I am not really looking to change anything; maybe just get a little new blood in here once in a while. TOR has been my favorite place on the Internet for a while now (excluding Drew's midget site) and I did not like the idea of it going away. I have had a beer with most of y'all and figured this would be a pretty easy thing to handle since there really is not a lot of moderation needed (except for Drunk Sean's Amazon orders). If you have any ideas, comments, suggestions, or forum upgrade ideas please feel free to post, PM, or text message me.
