I know they have gone downhill, but I don't consider GY a crap tire.

Hopefully they play the "we're keeping everything the same" BS politics game for the first few years before "consolidating for efficiency" kicks in.

I supported GY until they turned Chinese. Now Ill just add another brand to my black list to avoid.

Product quality or not - if it's made by an enemy of our country - I prefer to not to shoot the next generations feet by supporting their efforts.

I'm not a fan of the French but I'd give Micheline my money WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY before I put POS China tires on my car or truck.

Shit if Michelin actually made a legit all-terrain tire, that's all I would buy. My Michelin LTX A/T2 were by far the best tires I've ever had. And that was on a 3/4 ton diesel. My dad had them on his 3/4 ton as well and got 75k out of them with about 75% of that being towing mileage.

That's no lie. Goodyears are shit. I use to use 100% goodyear on my fleet, from vans to trucks n buses up to about 5-6 years ago then they started turning to shit. Tread separations, bubbles in side walls and balancing issues on all of them. They have been beating my door down in the past year swearing they have made big changes in the factory and at the local supply house/dealer, but I'm not biting. I started supporting a small local shop ( mexican kid that played Mani on Modern Family older brother owns it) and even the "chinese" tires I get for my big buses are better then goodyears. Even the oil field companies around here stopped using goodyear

I just keep not buying them because they're "not enough tire". Since 99% of my driving is on pavement, they really are. They just look out of place on lifted vehicles because they're not even the least bit aggressive.

Hit or miss on Michelin's with me. The ones on my last Expedition didn't last 25k before I had to replace them. The ones on my 250 had a ton of life left in them when I pulled them off at 12k and gave them to one of my mechanics. Should have remounted them on my factory steelies and kept them. On my work trucks they seem to last 25-30k which is way better then the Good years were doing or the hancooks that came on my 2010 f150s.

I only got 50k out of my last set of Michelines on the Subaru but I also didn't rotate them all that often & was doing a ton of city driving. Still 20k more miles out of them than the stock junk that came on the car. Those were bald in 30k. Only put 1,200 miles on my new set since last summer so they were great in the snow

Oh yeah, if I leveled this thing they have to go. They are a 34" tall tire but barely look the right size. They did awesome in the snow and ice we had last week. Never really had them in mud, don't plan to.

We've got 25k on the Michelin that came on the Expedition. They've probably got another 25k in them, but they suck in the rain. Blows my mind how bad they are in the rain...like hydroplane over the smallest puddles bad. That really surprised me.

I'm sure the premature wear was due to my dirt roads. Then I had issue with the warranty on them when they got thin early, they would only replace two and wanted me to pick up cost on the other two at full price. That kinda pissed me off, but hell it was still only half price
