Got rear ended. Need new bumper. Want opinions.

mmmmmmbourbon.
This guy is looking for black bed sides but is going to be getting rid of his front and rear bumper, snorkel and sliders. Could be worth looking into.

Yeah I'll keep an eye on that. His bumper is cut short lengthwise to line up with clearanced flares. I don't think it'd line up with the factory ones. Although, it wouldn't be too hard to weld on some material to get it back to length.

I was picking on Tacoexpo with that comment, he sacked over his buddies brick wall a month or so ago..lol

lol lol lol

Yeah I missed that too... 'cause my buddy didn't give me any grief at all. Great reference though!!

You weren't the only one!!! :D

Frack me..
I love my CBI for what it's worth.. I think their Wrap around Taco bumper is the nicest looking. They had a group buy on CBI just recently, I think it ended last month.. 5% off or was it 10%? I think Tex got the same deal. I bought my Swing-out finally..

Talked to CBI this morning. They're 3 weeks out. I think I may just go with their wrap style high clearance one. Big question is do I want the tire carrier or not...

look into Relentless Fab, he is doing both high clearance and standard bumper. From what I have seen he does great work, and I think his turn around time is a bit quicker the ATO.

I will probably get flamed for this..... But All-Pro does make a pretty good bumper too with quarter panel protection, seen it up close and the 2nd version ones are solid.

Larry brought up a good point about the Relentless rear wrap around - it sits flush with the bedsides and doesn't offer good side protection yet. Eric said he is working on making it wider, just not sure if he is yet.

If I had the cash I would go with ATO any day and every day. CBI seems to have the most clearance, but Kevin's bumper insures you don't have loose bedsides once your done cutting - doesn't CBI have an issue with this?

I regret not getting it on my ATO bumper.

I can't believe this all went down in my tiny town and I didn't even know. Woulda helped you guys out if at all possible. RL's A1 Body is awesome. My wife got rear ended twice in a year and they repaired it both times. Could never tell it wasn't brand new either time. Have him get a hold of me when he comes back for it.

That's Mr Asshole to you

The CBI comes with a new bracket that attaches to the bed side similar to the factory. I read it was actually ATO that had the issue with the fender flexing/moving while driving.

Ah.... I knew it was someone with a wrap around bumper. I got my companies flip flopped. Read so much info on products it's hard to keep it all in line.

I never had any problems with that and I had a very minimal gap. Now after the bricks 'came a tumbling down' the front of one side was tweeked down about a 1/4 inch. I still think its a great bumper - especially off-road.

Sounds like you need to go hit some rocks to get it back strait.
