I knew I was too pissed off to talk to someone without blowing a gasket. So I didn't even call. Maybe they would have answered the call, but it was probably in my best interest not to talk to them at that point.

I didn't.. I just pulled it out. It took a 27mm socket to fit around the top of it.
The tip of it is a roller ball.. like a big Bic pen.
The busted end. I suppose worse case I can use some small wire terminals.. just not so sure how good they will stay on there.

I'd like to be able to remove them. I could use some epoxy and build a plug. Start with something like this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRF-70402/?rtype=10 Solder it to the top of the plug and then epoxy it in place. Replace the OEM plug with the other end. Hmmmm.
Looks identical. I can mail you one if you'd like a backup plan?
