hey guys,

i met tex at the car wash earlier today and he told me about the forum, I'm always looking for a good group of toyota guys to go trail with.

I've had about 8 4runners in the past and now i have a 5th gen 4x4 that my wife uses for a daily driver and i recently sold my 3rd gen and got a fzj80 with triple lockers.

the green 3rd gen is my little sister's, she's a little badass and it has a rear locker as well.

Welcome to the forum. That's a good looking 5th gen. Jealous of the 80 series too. I almost got one but got a 5th gen Runner instead. Its just a mall crawler as well :(

thank you, i searched high and low for that 80 series. i bought it bone stock from original owner about 2 months ago, they are very hard to find with lockers and the owner doesn't want an arm and a leg for it haha. but i will say 4runner parts are a lot easier to find and cheaper! haha

Welcome. Glad you signed up.
I could use another wheeling trip before my warranty is up. It would have to be a day trip so Bridgeport.

My FJ is due for a trip out there. There are a couple of areas out there that I have been wanting to try crawl control on.

I'm down. The crawl control is actually pretty decent since it helps to keep your momentum going. I'm still on the fence with the terrain select.

get out of here with that new age crawl control!! I'm lucky my 80 series has a tape player. haha I've never seen how the crawl control works in person on a actual trail, would be cool to check it out. when are you guys thinking would be a good time to hit up bridgeport?

Welcome to TOR and dang you have some nice Toyotas around you. I am swapping axles this weekend so hopefully I will have my 3rd gen ready to go to Bridgeport in 2-3 weeks once I finish wiring up the locker.

I scored a solid deal on a Toyota E locker so I decided to go that route. Since this rig will be mainly for camping/ expo use the e locker should be fine for me. I have an older rig for hard abuse on the trails when I need to do that.
