I second the idea of keeping the 10/22. I love mine although I have not shot it since putting it back to stock.

That is why I love mine. $15 and you can shoot all day. I just picked up my grand dads pump .22. It is a Wards Field Special. Not worth a lot but a gun smith friend of mine is going to me do a complete disassemble to clean it so I can start shooting it.

I have noticed that a lot of the uppers I've looked at are delayed 6-8 weeks. But I figured that was just normal. I think they would just outlaw all ARs before they just outlawed building your own.
