Updated 2020 Toyota Hilux Reaches Europe With More Power, Improved Comfort | Carscoops
They are getting closer to making them soft enough for an American market.

Toyota keeps talking about a global chassis platform. It would make sense that the Hilux setup comes to North America at some point. Maybe it will be a renamed Hilux as a Tacoma but the actual vehicle would be a Hiux maybe. A lot of the features they have put into the Hilux make it comparable to the Tacoma for US buyers being wussies.
No shit!!I bet it'll still come with rear drum brakes![]()
100% agree.No shit!!
That camry I had for a rental out in Cali had the adaptive cruise control, but the display looked like a fucking Atari games shitty graphics. Drum brakes and being so behind on everything else is going to kill Toyota.
The 2020 Hilux SR5 still has drum brakes in back. Toyota must have one heck of a stockpile of drums someplace.

I'm starting to question Subaru reliability. A couple of weeks ago we took my wife's 2017 outback in because an o2 sensor went out. After we got it back it felt down in power and sounded like a lawnmower. Then three days after every light trips again and stays on for 2 days then they go back to normal for 2 days. Last Sunday they came back on and its been at the dealer since Tuesday. Friday we get a call and they still don't know what's wrong with it. Never had an issue take this long to diagnose in any of my Toyotas, Fords or BMWs. The Caddy is a ticking time bomb, but a fun one.FTFY...
I wish. I might actually buy a Toyota again if they did.
I know Toyota's #'s are pretty good but IMHO they have been slipping way behind the times.....thus my Subaru Impreza purchase....not a Corolla or Camry purchase.
Now I see Subaru's #'s climbing like Toyota's used to.
Subaru changed over to a global chassis in 2016 I think... pretty sure my car was the last year of the old model in 2015.
Even Lexus was dying and had dropping numbers prior to covid.
IMO Toyota dropped the ball and allowed the Koreans and other's to get a strong foothold of old Yota customers they are now starting to take advantage of.
