Buy once, cry once. Pelican cases are the only ones worth a damn.Yeah, my k9 has the slots for bolt heads. So I can mount with bolts just about anywhere. I suppose with the nut inside the case, that'd be pretty tamper proof. While the Pelican cases look great, I'm thinking something simple like one of these might be a good place to start and get some experience: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilit...vailable-in-Case-of-2-or-Single-Unit/44785752
I'd have to use ratchet straps to keep the lids down during transit and obviously they wouldn't be secure from thieves, but they're a cheaper starting point.
Thought maybe beltway 8 would be quicker since 518 is so slow.I'm not sure what you mean. I was driving directly from where I live over to the Clear Lake area where I work.
I've got their storm proof bag and the 2 smaller boxes that fit in the bag. I'm happy with all, the bag has done well.
Ah, ok. Yeah ... 8 is always an option. It's not that much more time to take the streets and I prefer to avoid the maniacs who drive so aggressively on the highways.Thought maybe beltway 8 would be quicker since 518 is so slow.

Well yeah...anyone who has the property you live on now wouldn't come back to Houston...I hate The Big Ugly (aka Houston and surrounding suburbs cities) traffic, only been back 5 times in 3 yrs since I moved

Yep, I buy mine used off Craigslist.Pelican can be had for cheap when you buy them from a used military surplus store. They may have a few scratches and dings, but for 50-70% off it is what it is if your on a budget.
