man I want one.
Ruger has that new 10/22 break-down model in a soft case. Pretty slick
Is there any significant advantage to the square "tactical" charging handle latch? Anyone have one?
I've done some training with a larger square handle. It was easier to engage without having to look; but it also got caught on my gear easier when the rifle was being retained close to my person. Overall they look cool, work ok, but IMO are another "thing" to spend money on. The majority of your reloads in a fight situation will be with the bolt locked to the rear so the charging handle is a non-player in those situations.
I have the badger tactical latch.. sticks out a lot..I've always hated the standard charging handle, so I love mine, especially on my scoped rifle..really easy to load with one hand once your seated at a bench.
It's my understanding that he was accross the street. Perfectly legal as long as he is not on school property. And you can have in in your vehicle if you are on school property, I believe. On a similar note, they finally passed the law where you can carry concealed on Texas college campuses.
It seems we have/had very different shooting environments. Your shooting from a bench, I was shooting from my feet.
