The casings eject through the mag well. The rounds are kinda pricey. Its a cool gun though.

Yup... It takes some getting used to seeing spent casings where there not supposed to be

Ruger has that new 10/22 break-down model in a soft case. Pretty slick
Saw an even cooler breakdown rifle at the outdoors show a couple weeks ago. It's a Savage .22 .410 over under
They also have a .22mag 20ga and 30/30 12ga

I've done some training with a larger square handle. It was easier to engage without having to look; but it also got caught on my gear easier when the rifle was being retained close to my person. Overall they look cool, work ok, but IMO are another "thing" to spend money on. The majority of your reloads in a fight situation will be with the bolt locked to the rear so the charging handle is a non-player in those situations.

None of this is true...if (and it is) it's on call of duty modern warfare 3 then it must be worthy of my gun.
I have the badger tactical latch.. sticks out a lot..I've always hated the standard charging handle, so I love mine, especially on my scoped rifle..really easy to load with one hand once your seated at a bench.

It seems we have/had very different shooting environments. Your shooting from a bench, I was shooting from my feet.

The way I was told in my Concealed class, and this was an example at an elementary school. You could carry on the school property, in the parking lot and around the building. The example he gave, is you could walk all around the outside of the school, you just couldn't enter the school. Unless something has changed. I'm going to get renewed in January, so I guess I'll get caught up on the law.
To be honest, at this point, I've done way more "shooting" of ARs from the comfort of my couch with a controller in my hand

Prioritize it man. Just knock it out on a whole day course on the weekend. I did my renewal at really small shooting range in south houston-marksman is the name. Did my license with jim pruett guns and ammo..haha..funny guy, don't think his son does them anymore though.

Shot some tracer rounds for the first time today. Those things are bad ass. And I'm pretty sure I knocked down a dove from 300 yards with one. Saw a huge flock of 50-60 on the far end of the field and a launched 5 at em. I'm about 90% sure I saw one fall..it was just about dark.
