Think I'm going to blow my tax return on a few ar500 steel plates. $300-70 per plate depending on size 6-10 inch round.
Guy here in Austin sells them, so may build a few of these stands, maybe with a hinge and rope to pop back up from a distance.

I wish I had a place around here where I could shoot steel plates. I say go for it. It makes shooting a lot more fun and easier to introduce new shooters when they can see something happen.
