I think I'm going to buy a complete receiver and trigger assembly which will really leave me with a complete 10/22 when its done. However the little one has told me that she wants a pink gun, so once its all done I'll build her a pink 10/22 to learn respect from.

haha I shot a 12gauge when I was like 4 or 5.. Knocked me on my ass... I stuck to a .22 for a long time after that haha. I still have my first .22 savage mark II gray wood stock bull barrel thing will shoot under a inch at 100yards. Jason and I were shooting rabbits with it at 200 yards a few years back. I bought the same gun with a short barrel 16 1/2" flutted and threaded for a suppressor. I didnt want to hack up my first gun.

Replace the rail with a weaver one while you're at it. They're pretty cheap
