Not real are what restrictions you are referring to more than keeping a copy of the stamp with you when you are with the SBR.

So its like a hunting license, if you are out with your SBR you need the tag on your person?

Exactly. Last time I was out with some friends shooting full auto stuff the county sheriffs showed up. They asked to see the ATF paperwork and speak with the owner of the private property. The firearms owner provided a small book of stamps for all his items that were present and the property owner said we were allowed to shoot there. The sheriff deputies drooled a little and wrote down some names/phone numbers before leaving.

We had a tripod mounted machine gun, a silencer, and multiple full auto pistols/rifles out there.

Where did you get it? Does it work with a garage door?

Amazon for $169 works off wifi or a mifi

Small unit 2x2x1in you Velcro it to anything andor use the door sensor, as long as you have wifi in range you can put it on a shed, garage or in a safe

Update your trust info (if you went with one) and then submit a change of address form. Some people say you simply have to mail them a letter stating your old address, new address, and stamps that are affected. Other people say they were directed to fill this form out (5320.20 Application to transport) but say that they were moving across state lines. As long as you are within your state's borders you do not need ATF special permission to travel with your stamp items.

Ok

No trust, just the stamp

Very cool. I bet shooting that belt fed beast gets $$$ quick!

He had it converted from 30-06 to 7.62x51 so as to make it $$ instead of $$$. But we were shooting off 100 round belts so it didn't really matter. lol

I have seen the turn arounds that were less than two weeks. The eForms issue is resolved and working pretty good best I can tell. Hopefully pretty soon we can track how fast it is on my silencer.

Never seen an ar with a 5" barrel lol that is one cool table pic

Yeah; it was pretty crazy shooting that thing. It has a 4" barrel and a lightening link.

This question goes to all you AR guys. I have always been an AK guy and am looking to get something from the good ole USA. What is a good rifle to get into for a decent price for a solid platform? I see a lot of "bargains" for sale but don't really know enough about them to stay out of trouble. I understand I could build a better rifle cheaper, but again... I really don't know much about ar's other than the basic mechanics.

I'm in the same boat, but keep coming back to the idea of building an AK-15. I've heard horror stories by some & others that have no problems with theirs...

DPMS is usually a good entry point

Chrome-lined internals or is that not really needed?

Not all that important IMHO. There are alot of bells and whistles that the people on the internet will tell you are necesarry. But when it comes down to it, the only thing that's really necessary is reliability. Everything else is an upgrade that will be specific to your application; combat, hunting, competition, long range accuracy, etc.

Thank you for the input... I am really looking for a middle of the road style rifle. You know, does everything fairly well, but not exactly perfect for any one thing. Probably 16" barrel and fairly basic furniture for light/laser and sight.

I really don't want to spend over $1000. Less is better. Also, I'm not in the market as of yet... But just starting to look around to find out what I need.
