Got a cheap little Simmons 3-9 x 32 sscope for my new Winchester break barrel .22 pellet rifle. Its for bunnies in the backyard and they better be scared. I put a piece of 1/2" OSB in the slot for a realtor for sale sign and paced it off at 40 paces in the backyard. Hit it dead nuts and it blew threw the back of it. Come out come out where ever you are little bunny foofoo.

Its rated at 1000fps and its a .22 pellet.. as much as it blew through that piece of 1/2" OSB I'm guessing a rabbit head won't be an issue.
