I was hoping Springfield was releasing something cool and new today with all the advertising they've been doing. But nope, it's just a run of the mill AR lol

I was looking forward too... ...disappointment as to another gun I can't possess! lol :(

Well it's a stupid move on Springfield's part. They are gonna make an overpriced AR with some fancy bullshit engraving on it.

EDIT: This is Jesse Tischauer's video, he's a really good 3-gunner. :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Sadly there are sucker's born every minute. There is something about creating scarsity or the idea that very few can have it. Look at supercars, limited editions of all kinds, 'fine art,' etc.

In my business, if my client wants me to realize the top price and they can handle it, one of the tacts is to price low and build up a strong sense of scarcity.

I do this by seasoning a property - It is listed on the MLS for sale but no one can see it for a minimum of 7 days and a max of about 10 days.

Then I schedule every single person to see it at the exact same time.

Sometimes it is 4 or 5 and has been as many as 80. This gives others the sense that, "If I'm to get this property, none of these folks can get it. I better put my best foot forward, or not put it in at all."
In my biz, people have 17-21 days to get 100% of their deposit back so my conscience is clear - no guns are used to get two people to exchange something for something.

The SA deal is just a similar tactic, different product.

I ordered a case of 6.5 Creedmoor ammo from Prime Ammo.

Last day of free shipping using promo code: PRIMEISONE They have great customer service. I received a phone call from them thanking me for my order about an hour after I placed it. It also shipped the same day as well.

I am debating setting up either an AR or not gun in 6.5 just for fun.
Meh, you already have a 300 Win Mag right? Instead you need to use the money to buy ammo for the 300 Win Mag and shoot the shit out of the gun you already own. :)

Now you are starting to sound like my sandwichmaker. Why not build another gun?

Aren't they both shooting pretty much identical bullet aerodynamics/trajectories?

You can do what you want lol I'm just being the voice of reason :) I wish I had a 300 win mag even though I don't need it.

Yeah they are pretty close.

After you posted your latest "gift to the bottom of the lake" I started looking up those rifles and that load. I had never heard of it before (I'm not that into guns), but it sounded like a nice accurate sub MOA shooter.

Yeah it's the latest craze in the precision shooting world. .260 is a more accurate round (more fps) but it burns up barrels crazy fast. I think you get a little over a thousand rounds per barrel with .260.
With the 6.5 Creedmoor, you don't have that issue. What I like the most about the Ruger Precision is the fact that I can order a 1/2 MOA barrel for $400 and change it out in my garage.

lol I have bought 2 rifles in the past decade. 1 is a total POS Remington 597 22lR that belongs at the bottom of a lake it jambs so much and a Ruger 10/22 I bought a few years ago and have yet to build.

My only issue with my 300WM is that it burns a lot of powder for the distances I can shoot around here. If I had easy/affordable access to 800-1500 yds I would love shooting it more. But anything under 300 yds is a waste of powder.

Installed a Overwatch TAC trigger, heavy duty trigger spring and finally mounted my red dot sight that I've had sitting in a box for 6 months. :) Trigger is a nice improvement over stock. Also did the 3 coatings of Frog Lube on it.

I've been eyeballing those RPRs for a while. And that was the exact optic I would have put on it also. Curious to see what you think of it after some lead down range.

Now onto the Frog lube. That shit is pure salesman snake oil garbage. I had it on my Remington 870, followed all the directions, heated it up and everything. Took it out duck hunting, and the gun wouldn't shoot. Light primer strikes and extremely sluggish action. In cold weather that stuff turns into molasses. It completely stopped my gun and I couldn't get it back to function in the field. I had to strip it completely down and blow it all out with acetone.

Ive had really good luck with tw25b grease on high friction areas, and Hoppes on everything else.

And any gun cleaner or lube that requires special application instructions like heating your gun up with a hairdryer is retarded, when you have so many other options that work 10x better. It's like buying a diff locker you have to manually go under the truck, heat up the pumpkin with a torch, while singing kumbaya for precisely 43 seconds and only then turning the locking mechanism to lock the diff at a rate of 6"/sec
