Went out 9-15-12 from Galveston Island State Park.. Bianca caught more fish than she has ever caught on this trip. I did real well too, one slot red (22") and one keeper Spec.. made for a great lunch. I fell out of my kayak twice.. it was a great trip! Something kept biting through the line, I think it may have been jack.. Bianca finally got one in the boat, a small one. We grilled the redfish this time on the half shell, it was fantastic!

Yeah, I don't have a good reel to put it on yet.. just that old surfrod. I didn't hook anything with it, guess I needed deeper water. I had cut mullet on the hook. It had a great feel to it, but I kind of miss the levelwind already.
