It was probably all the cigar smoke. Great video though. Fist time I have seen it. No windshield wheeling would suck.

I have some sheet metal laying around so I thought I might skin my tube tube doors. I started with some cardboard tonight. They are rough cut and the only one that needs to be adjusted a little is the rear most panel by the striker and door latch. Maybe this will keep a little more dirt, water and mud out of the cab. After the flood at K2, Im willing to try anything that will help if Im out wheeling w/o my regular doors.

I thought have the skins on the inside would keep than from getting banged up rather than being on the outside. Also kicking around using some trick tabs or just zapping them to the tube doors. I think welding them directly would be easier and eliminate more rattles and the tabs would look a little cooler.

Any input?

Like the idea; what about tabs and using rubber washers between the sheet and tab to cut down on the rattles? Putting some skin to them will probably help keep you a little warmer on your drive up to Jambo next year too. lol

Its getting towed next year. I said that last year too though.

I need to decide on the tabs or not. I will get the sheet metal cut to size and then see how much effort I really want to put into it.

Tabs will make it easier to replace/swap out. Maybe have solid skin for winter and expanded metal for summer when you really want that breeze through the cab when wheeling.

As for getting towed... yeah; I have heard that for a few years now.

I would go with tabs so they could be removed. I also like the idea of perforated material.

I'd put plexi in the passenger door so you can see out.

Put plexi down low so you can see obstacles, not all the way up.

I will hopefully get some work done this weekend. Plexi and speed holes are on the list

Pulled the truck out to de grease and clean.

Found a missing bolt that I need to replace on my front transfer case mount. No biggie.

Probably going to pull the valve cover and intake for some inspection and cleaning. Probably going to do the EGR delete while I'm at it to eliminate some of the vac lines.
