Im kinda of ready do drive it already. I should have some time to get the gears good and broke in by Jambo in January at least

Got Ol Red started up on Friday. He sounds pretty rough with just a header and I could only sit in the truck running a little while before the fumes just about killed me. It was good hearing it start though. The Odyssey Battery didnt even need to be put on the charger
I got the hood put back on with a little help:
Also got started on getting the bumpstops tacked into place.
Need to get the exhaust done this week sometime

Truck is ready to go. Went over last night to get the last little things taken care of:
blinkers, liscense plates, and liscense plate lights, exhaust
Only got the blinkers done: These are just temporary till I have the time to mod the running lights.
Bumps installed:
Gonna try and get the exhaust done today and have the truck home by the weekend

Well I got to drive Lill red yesterday for the first time in months.
The suspension/gearing feels great and steering with the IFS box is awesome.
Took the truck to the local exhaust shop:
Got the grille put back on, shimmed up the bed a little and
slammed my thumb
Oh well it was a good day
I do have a little leak on the exhaust manifold which probably will require a helicoil in on of the bolt holes but thats not too bad

Its nice actually getting to see what it looks like in the sunlight.
Gonna try and get the helicoil done on the exhaust stud today so I can start driving him around a little

Brought the truck home today!
Began the break in process of the gears. The 529's are noticeably different than the 410's on the highway.
Got a couple things X'ed off the list of stuf to do before Jambo
Pics to come tomorrow
-Got the front driveshaft installed. Still need to grease it up
-Installed the TG Rock Rings
-Got the liscense plate mounted and light working
Working on the exhaust manifold leak tomorrow as well as changing the fluids in the diff and trans case. Probably going with synthetic
Should be changing out the the wheels this week to the 15x10 black steelies
Gonna try and get the winch up and going too. Depends if I have time.

Finally got the exhaust leak at the manifold 99% fixed. I cut the heat sheild off the old gasket and sandwiched theme between them between the header with a generous amount of Permatex Copper RTV. Seems to be holding so far.
The Flowmaster really hums on the road now that the leak is fixed. Might need to run it further back towards the rear axle to decrease the cab noise. At least it will keep me off the phone while driving
Got my Warn hawse fairlead installed this morning as well. The winch might be ready to go by thursday do know yet. Went to a friends this afternoon to put some miles on the gears. Gonna change out the oil in the diffs Tues or Wed with some Royal Purple 80W-90 gear oil.
