Well, if you want to call a guy that would hate to see someone go off a trail due to a locked up front locker, a dick... Yeah, I'm a dick.

I personally have been in the hammer's area with a front locker that would not 'disengage' and it was not a pleasant experience. But, to each their own.

I wasn't speaking of your advice on lockers. I agree with you. Again, I was commenting on the posts I highlighted.

Hmm, so it seems that I may have caused some tension in the room. I'm just gonna back out slowly, and ignore it. But yeah I agree on the locker thing. I was looking at costs. Seems it's gonna save me in the long run to get the ARB. Thanks for the Advice.

Yeah, Brian, its best to save up and do it right. Particularly on the front axle. Rear is another story. Do you plan to regear or are you happy as is? If you do, that would be the time to do it too. Once they already have the axle cracked open and the gears out, its no extra work to put in a different ratio.

I do want to regear, but really can't afford that right now. Maybe I'll just start pricing out some gears, and have a "wrench meet" and have some guys help me put it all together. I better not try to tackle it on my own, who knows what extra parts I would have.

Lunch box locker= any well versed shade tree mechanic can do it

Full carrier locker and/or gear change= very difficult job that requires special tools and knowledge; best left to experts

I think Brian's comment about Paul being at such a disadvantage should have been colored... either that or Brian's on the rag. :D

Anyhow, if you can afford it get the selectable.. it does suck when a locker doesn't disengage when you want it to.
