I am new to forums. I have a 2000 4runner SR5 and am starting to do some modifications. Looking for advise on a suspension lift, 4 or 6 inch, that will better the off-road but remain practical to drive.

Welcome from Texas. OME is one of the more popular brands but they don't make any lifts above 3" for the 4runner. If you go to 6" it would require a drop bracket lift such as pro comp and it actually lowers your ground clearance. This is not very popular with most here unless you have some pesky curbs that need conquering.

Sonoran makes the best kit for your Rig but it's pricey. I have the Sonoran 1.2 and love it. Another option is to source some of the parts yourself, the rear is the FZJ80 coils, and the front is basically the coils from a 2nd gen tundra (2nd gen I think..). Sorry, I didn't say that right, it's the piece they mount too on the frame rail... not the links themselves although I would like beefier ones.
