If US DUI's weren't considered a felony offense in Canada that makes it hard to get in I'd take you up on that, but sadly most of my friends who like to explore have them or similar offenses on their records. It's hard enough to get my friends to agree on a domestic location for a trip let alone international with strict customs. After our last trip (Banff) where two of my buddies got extorted for hundreds of dollars by customs now they all say "F" Canada

We were at the international airport in Alberta and customs told them you can pay a few hundred and sign waivers or fly home.
This was before a passport was required to fly in so they had no clue they would have issues.
I'm totally OK with not letting people into your country that don't align with your standards. I just need more law abiding friends.
