Off road seat options

I am looking to replace all the seats in my 1st gen 4Runner with better seats than factory - so pretty much anything. I am liking the basic race seats with an adjustable back but am not sure about PVC or suede. The seat material needs to be decently waterproof and preferably not hotter-than-hell in the summer after some sun has been on it. I also remember talk about a mesh center in the back for air flow discussion at Jambo. I would like to keep cost under $600 for all four seats.

So - if you had to replace your seats again what would you do the same or change? I do want to upgrade to 5 point harnesses for all seats. Roll overs happen to easy to get cheap on a basic piece of safety equipment. I do not care if I hurt myself but I would not be okay with hurting a passenger. Pretty sure we all feel that way.

I've bought some of the Jegs seats and was very happy with them. Only downside is that they are tall. But they fit my fat ass great. I'll have to look up the models when I am on a computer. But for under 200 a pop they are great. IIRC they sell a shorter version as well for backseat..... I may be confusing them with some others though. #oldage

I like those seats Aaron posted. I will be looking into those more for my 81.

Fine for both for my usage... but recall my rigs sat indoors when not on the trail. So long term water and sun are unknown. I have similar seats in the 91 now and I use a pressure washer to clean the interior most of the time and they get soaked and no issues. Now I don't spray directly on them if I can help it but they seem to be just fine. Just wipe them down with a towel afterwards and good to go.
