Eventually, I'm going to compile the items in this thread into a comprehensive list and post it in the Articles section

Excellent idea Drew. My intention was to update the first post with new ideas as they are posted, but I have been extremely busy, haven't had a chance to sort through everything yet.

I was thinking the same... At one time I was thinking of making an interactive check list for the guys I wheel with so that we can check what we're bringing. I'm sick and tired of going out on a 3 day wheeling trip and we have 4 stoves, 6 lanterns, 10 days of fire wood, and no one brought a JACK!!! - Just kidding about the jack but you know what I mean! Do we really need to have 2 spares in one truck when we are out with 5 other guys that have the same tire size?

Well I bought it.. worst case I'll put it in Clyde. I've read some not-so-great reviews on the newer SOG products. But for $40 its a chance I'll take.

A good first aid kit. Still trying to get some human sutures. I have horse ones now...The needle is a bit larger.

I usually have dental floss and a needle just in case, but unless you absolutely HAVE to sew someone up, it's usually gonna be better to put a compression bandage on it and get it cleaned in a hospital before the wound is closed.

No dout! I have cleaned and sowed a wound close for a buddy. I was just going to duct tape him but he wanted it sowed up. alcohol and iodine are a must.

The trail guides at BVORR where just talking about first aid kits at the last meet and brought up Jay's partially cut off fingers, they did recomend having a good supply of first aid equipment.

Items I usually take.

First aid kit (works better if you've been through a AMCROSS First Aid Class)
fire starting material, flint and steel, lighter, magnifying glass, (BTW dryer lint works great along with steel wool)
Snatch strap
Snatch block
tree protector
jumper cables
tools (metric wrenches, sockets up to 36mm, breaker bar, monkey wrench, saw, shovel, latrine tool, axe or hatchet,
550 cord
tarp
Non perishable food
Hilift

water
Tylenol or Advil
Spare fluids (oil, gear oil, coolant and ATF)
HF radio comms, (CB usually works pretty good but if you're adventurous Ham radio also)
Signal flares (local marine store usually caries them if nothing local try West Marine)
Fire extinguisher
Clothes for the weather
Space blanket
Leatherman multitool and my Sog knife!

Might be missing a few things but thats usually whats with me

Well it seems they sold out before they got my order processed.. It didn't say it was sold out when I bought it, but as of today I was never charged for it and haven't received any emails stating it shipped. Oh well.
